Afternoon! This is the owner's partner again. The Evil One.
As the title states, you need black lisptick or gloss. Yes, many of you have been wearing it for years and years, and it's often only available from September to October, but as soon as major companies come out with black anything, it's a sudden trend. For once I say good! Black lips themselves aren't everyone's cup of tea, but as everything else, it depends on personal style. .
Where was I? Right, the black. Let's put aside wearing it on it's own, because if opaque, the black will be...well, pretty much black. Which does look sexy-as-hell on people with very dark skin without appearing "goth". However! A light application, depending upon the shade of your lips, may give a lovely deep shade, anywhere from burgundy to violet.
Apply black lipstick, blot gently, then add a sheer shade or gloss on top. This is a great use for glosses you want to love but are too sheer, especially shades ranging in the dark pink to plum colour families. Another good use is as a deep base for those who use dry powder colourants on top of gloss. This can give all sorts of great effects. Cosmetic glitters or pale irridescent shades are especially fun.
